iolite incorporates elements of technology developed by The MITRE Corporation on behalf of the US Government. Attacks against our infrastructure are increasing in frequency and complexity, and our systems require continuous monitoring and rapid response, despite the fact that our assets live in disparate systems and cyber expertise is in high demand.
Solutions must be adaptable for our world’s evolving digital infrastructure. iolite ensures cybersecurity teams have oversight while giving the operator the autonomy to manage their systems without disruption - strengthening security without sacrificing efficiency.
What is iolite?
The name iolite comes from the blue violet gemstone once used by Viking navigators to locate the sun on cloudy days. Known as the “Viking’s Compass”, iolite helped them stay on course through uncertain and stormy conditions, carrying illumination and the spirit of journey.
We chose this name because it reflects our mission: to bring clarity, direction, and confidence to OT cybersecurity. Just as the gem revealed hidden paths through fog and chaos, our software helps teams navigate complex threats— by illuminating vulnerabilities, guiding response, and protecting the crown jewels.
